About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with strong electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting skills to join our team in Gordonsville, TN. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe, high-quality production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and installations
Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance
Respond to and resolve emergency equipment breakdowns
Complete and close out maintenance work orders and notifications
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
Replace electrical/mechanical components per specifications
Maintain accurate records of work performed and corrective actions taken
Support LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement efforts
Ensure compliance with food safety, GMPs, and quality standards
Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or GED (technical/vocational training preferred)
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
Strong knowledge of:
- Industrial electricity (AC/DC, high and low voltage)
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Pipefitting (water, gas, air systems)
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
Basic computer skills (data entry/work order systems)
Solid understanding of safety procedures and best practices

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods
Frequently lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs
Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Comfortable working in industrial environments with:
- Moving mechanical parts
- Temperature changes
- Dust, fumes, and noise

Schedule

12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Rotating 3-2-2 schedule
Must be flexible for weekends, overtime, and coverage
