Production Assembler (Evaluation Hire)

Location: Santa Ana, CA
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Pay: $18.00–$19.00/hour DOE

Overview

We are partnering with a growing manufacturing company seeking detail-oriented Production Assemblers to join their team. This is an evaluation hire opportunity with long-term potential for the right candidates.

 

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have strong attention to detail, and take pride in producing quality products. Production Assemblers will work with cable and connector assemblies, follow technical instructions and drawings, and help ensure all products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble cable and connector products according to customer specifications, work orders, production drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Perform hand crimping, connector loading, shrink tubing, labeling, and other assembly functions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspect completed products for quality and identify defective materials or assemblies.
• Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and production leads.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Support team members and assist with other production duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Candidates should be comfortable reading work orders, assembly drawings, and customer specifications while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or cable assembly experience preferred.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, or crimping tools preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, or assembly instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle small parts, tools, and materials.
• Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks.
• Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and balance.
• Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds.
• Frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Education
