Pipe Fitter Welder

Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a Pipe Fitter Welder position for a local Winnsboro, Tx company! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in East Texas that have full-time, part-time and temporary. Since we cannot guarantee placement, there is no fee for using our services!

In this role, you will:

• Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications using squares, rulers, measuring tapes, and other precision tools
• Weld steel members and structural components according to project specifications
• Move steel members into position manually or with hoists and cranes
• Position, align, fit, and tack weld parts to form complete units and subunits following blueprints and layout specifications
• Determine the appropriate methods and sequence of fabrication tasks to maximize efficiency and productivity
• Assemble and fit miscellaneous steel components according to technical drawings and blueprints
• Conduct thorough quality inspections and correct defects to ensure finished products meet quality standards
• Assist foremen and managers in maintaining workflow and production schedules
• Coach and train lower-level fitters to help advance their skills and knowledge
• Promote and enforce all workplace safety policies and procedures
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe-cutting and threading equipment, and welding equipment to complete projects

We like to hear from candidates with the following:

• Previous experience as a Pipe Fitter Welder required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication layouts
• Strong welding, fitting, and fabrication skills
• Knowledge of measuring tools and quality control procedures
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and pipe fabrication equipment
• Ability to lift and maneuver 50–100 pounds
• Ability to work in physically demanding positions including standing, kneeling, crouching, and bending for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train team members
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
