Materials Planning Assistant

Salary: $25.00 to $30.00/hour

Specialized Recruiting Group, Irvine is seeking a Materials Planning Assistant for a growing consumer goods manufacturing company in the Irvine, CA area. This is a full-time, permanent, evaluation hire opportunity. Hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. Compensation starts at $25.00 to $30.00/hour.

 

Responsibilities

• Support production planning by updating schedules, monitoring material requirements, and flagging shortages or delays
• Create and process purchase orders
• Issue work orders to the production team and coordinate timing to align with production schedules
• Track and maintain inventory levels to meet production demand
• Source and secure competitive freight and transportation quotes
• Communicate with vendors via phone and email to confirm order status, resolve issues, and ensure on-time delivery

 

Requirements

• Prior experience in production planning, materials coordination, or a similar role preferred
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional, team-oriented approach with a positive attitude
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
