Express is hiring multiple Medical Billing and Coding Specialist in the Queens Area. 

Job Description:

• Audit medical records to ensure compliance with insurance and Medicare.
• Perform QA audits on coding process.
• Recommend and suggest improvements to assigned projects. 
• Stay current with billing regulations, payer requirements, and coding standards. 
• Support referral and authorization processes for procedures and testing
• Submit claims in a timely manner.
• Handle claim submissions, denials, and appeals to reduce rejections and improve collections. 

Qualifications: 

• Strong Customer Service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access 
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Interest in Policy/ Health
• Organization skills
• Strong attention to detail 

Requirements:

• AAPC/ AHIMA Certified
• In depth knowledge of Medical Billing and Coding
• 1-2 years relevant experience required
