About the Job

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local manufacturing company to fill a Pallet Repair / Pallet Builder position. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong background in construction, carpentry, roofing, lumber, or other physically demanding labor positions.

 

The primary responsibility of this role is repairing damaged pallets and returning them to service-ready condition using a variety of hand and power tools. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment, meeting production goals, and performing physically demanding work throughout the day.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Repairing and rebuilding damaged wooden pallets
• Operating tools such as nail guns, hammers, manual and electric saws, wire brushes, and pneumatic tools
• Inspecting repaired pallets to ensure quality standards are met
• Completing production paperwork accurately
• Maintaining production quotas and efficiency standards
• Stacking pallets and materials according to inventory procedures
• Ensuring loads are properly secured
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Communicating effectively with supervisors and production leadership
• Following all company safety policies and procedures

What You Bring:

• Significant construction, carpentry, roofing, lumber, or manual labor experience strongly preferred
• Experience safely operating hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Craft apprenticeship experience is a plus
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 75 pounds
• Comfortable standing, bending, twisting, stooping, and walking throughout the entire shift
• Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, and other elements
• Good balance, coordination, and eye-hand coordination
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear
