Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a growing and innovative manufacturing organization in Lubbock, Texas. This leadership role offers the opportunity to drive product development, mentor engineering talent, and contribute to advanced mechanical design initiatives in a collaborative environment.

Position Summary

The Senior Mechanical Engineer provides advanced engineering expertise and technical leadership in the design, analysis, and improvement of mechanical systems. This position is responsible for leading major design projects, mentoring engineering staff, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards, and maintaining complete ownership of engineering data within the Epicor ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept through production release.

• Perform and review advanced structural, thermal, and tolerance analyses using Autodesk Inventor simulation tools.

• Create, maintain, and release accurate BOMs (Bills of Materials), MOMs (Methods of Manufacture), and Part Records within Epicor.

• Establish and maintain engineering design standards, material specifications, and best practices.

• Mentor engineers and drafters by providing technical guidance, training, and development support.

• Serve as the engineering liaison between production, quality, suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams.

• Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on cost reduction, product reliability, and manufacturability.

• Support project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination activities.

• Assist with the implementation and adoption of COMSOL Multiphysics for integrated mechanical, electrical, and thermal simulations.

• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive mechanical design and product development experience.

• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and Inventor simulation tools.

• Strong knowledge of industrial manufacturing and assembly processes.

• Advanced experience working within Epicor ERP or a comparable ERP system.

• Demonstrated project leadership and mentoring experience.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience implementing or utilizing COMSOL Multiphysics.

• Experience in highly engineered manufacturing environments.
