Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a Temporary Cook position.

This is a temporary opportunity with a rotating schedule. One week will consist of 3 shifts, followed by 4 shifts the next week. Shifts are scheduled from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and standards
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as required
• Ensure quality and consistency in food production

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a cook or in a related food service role is required
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and various cooking methods
• Understanding of food safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage practices
• Food Safety Certification
• Strong basic math and counting skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand or walk for extended periods
• Ability to wear required uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
