CNC Machinist

Located in Kimberly, WI

Salary: up to $35.00/HR

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm 

Pay: up to $35.00 /HR

Duties: 

  • Perform complete machine setups, including calculating speeds and feeds and selecting appropriate tooling and support equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Accurately machine parts to precise tolerances using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other CNC equipment
  • Set up and operate vertical machining centers (VMCs), particularly Haas machines, to meet or exceed production and quality standards
  • Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Monitor machine operations, including feed rates and cutting speeds, and make adjustments as needed
  • Verify operational efficiency of machines by running tests and troubleshooting issues
  • Maintain machinery and equipment in proper working condition through routine checks and preventative maintenance
  • Identify defects or deviations and make necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality output
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Safely lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs as required

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience in a job shop environment
  • Proven experience with Haas vertical machining centers preferred
  • Strong ability to perform machine setups independently
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
  • Solid understanding of speeds, feeds, tooling, and machining processes
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
