Salary: $22-24/ hour

Express Employment Professionals, Delta, is looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to support our client company's busy service office. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers and play a key role in coordinating technicians, managing schedules, and ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations. Our client is in the heating business for over 40 years and is based out of Tilbury, Delta, BC. This is an evaluation hire leading to a long term hire.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails in a professional manner.
  • Schedule service appointments and coordinate technician dispatching.
  • Communicate with customers regarding appointment times, service updates, and follow-up requests.
  • Prepare work orders, service documentation, and customer files.
  • Monitor technician schedules and make adjustments as needed throughout the day.
  • Enter and maintain accurate customer and job information in company systems.
  • Process invoices, payments, and basic administrative paperwork.
  • Order office supplies and maintain organized filing systems.
  • Assist with reporting, data entry, and general office administration.
  • Support management with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative assistant, customer service, or dispatching role preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and general office software.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, friendly, and customer-focused attitude.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience scheduling or dispatching field technicians, tradespeople, or service staff.
  • Familiarity with service management or dispatch software.
  • Basic bookkeeping or invoicing experience.

 

Starting pay is $22-25/ hour.

 

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
