The Bilingual Payroll & HR Assistant will support payroll processing, employee records management, recruitment activities, benefits administration, and various HR initiatives. Successful candidates will be considered as positions become available and may be contacted regarding current or upcoming opportunities that match their qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities Payroll Support
- Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll on a scheduled basis
- Review timesheets, attendance records, and payroll-related documentation for accuracy
- Maintain employee payroll records and update information as required
- Support payroll reporting and reconciliation activities
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure payroll information is handled with confidentiality
Human Resources Support
- Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
- Support onboarding and orientation for new employees
- Maintain employee files and HR records
- Assist with benefits enrollment and administration
- Prepare employment letters and HR documentation
- Support employee engagement initiatives and company events
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and employment standards
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper records
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence as required
- Support various HR and payroll projects
- Provide general administrative support to the HR and Payroll team
Qualifications
- Previous experience in payroll, human resources, administration, or a related role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Language Requirement: Fluent in both English and French (spoken and written)
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Payroll, or a related field
- Payroll or HR-related certification is considered an asset
- Experience with payroll and HR software systems
- Knowledge of employment standards, payroll processes, and HR best practices
- Language Requirement: Fluent in both English and French (spoken and written)
