Maintenance Technician

Located in Madison, WI

Salary: $20-30/hr

We are currently hiring for a property Maintenance Technician with a reputable local property management company.

The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Team Leader and will work with the property management and operations teams to ensure that the properties are kept up to applicable standards. Applicants must be customer-service driven and be able to handle the daily challenges associated with the property management industry and maintaining multiple residences.

Responsibilities / Duties:

• Ensure that the physical aspects of multiple properties meet company standards and applicable laws
• Competently diagnose problems and make repairs in the areas of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
• Develop an understanding of the property portfolio, inventory, and SOPs
• Communicate with the Property Management team to ensure that property residents and owners are kept in the loop on applicable maintenance projects
• Complete work-order reports thoroughly
• Handle and document inventory appropriately
• Understand the general facets of property management
• Complete work orders and handle inventory
• Interact professionally with residents, office staff, and vendors as needed

Requirements:

• Experience in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair
• Driver's license and insured personal vehicle for daily use (paid mileage).
• Live within a 30 miles radius of downtown Madison, WI
• Comfortable using computers and smart phones preferred

Schedule: 8am - 4:30pm Mon - Fri. Overtime and on-call weekend hours required at times.

Pay: Based on previous experience, around $25/hour
