Automotive Quality Inspector 

An Automotive Quality Inspector ensures vehicles and their components meet strict technical, safety, and regulatory standards through systematic inspections, testing, and reporting.

Role Overview

An Automotive Quality Inspector is responsible for evaluating vehicles, parts, and production processes to maintain compliance with company and industry quality protocols. They work closely with manufacturing teams to identify defects, verify specifications, and recommend improvements to ensure product reliability and safety 

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test vehicles, parts, and assemblies for compliance with engineering drawings, design specifications, and regulatory standards

  • Identify defects or deviations such as malfunctions, misalignments, or material inconsistencies 

  • Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM machines, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances

  • Conduct functional tests to ensure parts and systems operate correctly 

  • Document findings in inspection reports, including non-conformances and corrective actions 

  • Maintain inspection equipment and perform routine calibration

  • Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective measures and improve quality control processes

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards such as ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, and Six Sigma methodologies
