Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5 AM-3:30 PM, optional OT on Fridays

Pay: $21-$22 DOE

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join their manufacturing team in Tualatin. This role is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal components to meet quality, safety, and production standards. The ideal candidate has experience with powder coating systems, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare metal parts for coating, including cleaning, masking, and staging materials.
• Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray equipment in accordance with specifications.
• Monitor and adjust equipment to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and finish quality.
• Operate curing ovens and ensure proper temperature and timing requirements are met.
• Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring compliance with company quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of coating equipment and work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and PPE usage.
• Maintain production records and report any issues with materials, equipment, or processes.
• Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet daily output goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years of powder coating or industrial painting experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with electrostatic spray equipment and curing ovens.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a manufacturing or HVAC-related environment.
• Knowledge of coating thickness measurement tools and quality inspection processes.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/production facility environment.
• Exposure to noise, heat, and industrial equipment.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
