Industrial Painter – Fabrication Shop

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Painter to join our fabrication shop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting fabricated metal products while ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and masking.
• Mix and apply primers, paints, and industrial coatings according to specifications.
• Operate spray painting equipment, including airless and conventional spray systems.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality, coverage, and proper coating thickness.
• Perform touch-up work and repairs as needed.
• Maintain painting equipment and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Work with production and fabrication teams to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial painting experience required.
• Experience painting fabricated steel, structural steel, or manufactured components preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial coatings, primers, and surface preparation techniques.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and paint specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
