Safety Coordinator for a Cold Storage Warehouse 

 

McAllen, TX

Pay: $14 - $17 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday with occasional Saturdays

 

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a Safety Coordinator for a company in the McAllen area. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented candidate with experience in workplace safety, OSHA compliance, and employee training.

 

The Safety Coordinator will assist in maintaining a safe work environment by conducting inspections, supporting safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and helping lead employee safety initiatives. This position works directly under the supervision of the Safety Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with safety compliance reviews, risk assessments, and inspections
• Maintain safety documentation, logs, and reports
• Help enforce OSHA, DOT, USDA, and company safety regulations
• Conduct safety meetings and employee training sessions
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions
• Promote safe work practices throughout the facility
• Perform daily facility safety inspections
• Assist with emergency response and first aid treatment
• Evaluate and ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Help develop and implement safety policies and procedures
• Communicate safety recommendations to management and employees
• Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Safety Coordinator or similar role
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate
• Ability to lead safety trainings in group settings
• Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety regulations preferred
• Technical writing experience is a plus
• Must be reliable and able to work occasional Saturdays Benefits:
