Laser Operator

We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join a manufacturing team on first shift. This position is responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting equipment, monitoring production quality, optimizing material usage, and supporting efficient manufacturing operations.

Job Duties

• Set up and operate laser cutting equipment according to production specifications
• Retrieve and load machine programs and select appropriate materials, gases, and tooling for production runs
• Perform machine start-up and shutdown procedures safely and efficiently
• Monitor production processes and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity standards
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions as needed
• Utilize nesting software to maximize material utilization and reduce waste
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production schedules
• Enter and retrieve information using computer-based manufacturing systems
• Use precision measuring instruments, including tape measures, calipers, and other inspection tools
• Operate overhead cranes to move materials and finished products safely
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements

Qualifications

• Experience operating laser cutting equipment required
• One to three years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Knowledge of machine setup, troubleshooting, and production processes
• Ability to read and accurately use measuring instruments
• Experience with nesting software and CNC or laser programming preferred
• Basic computer skills and experience working in a Windows-based environment
• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and handle materials as required
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to operate machinery and material handling equipment safely

Schedule

• Full-time position
• First Shift
• Monday through Friday
• Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
