Lead Diesel Mechanic

Location: Chickasha Ok
Schedule: First Shift | Monday–Friday (some weekends as needed)
Pay: $[Pay Range] based on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic to oversee daily shop operations and perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel equipment. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to mentor junior technicians while maintaining high-quality standards and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines and equipment
• Lead and supervise a team of mechanics and technicians
• Assign work orders and ensure timely job completion
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and safety standards
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Train and mentor entry-level and intermediate technicians
• Coordinate with management on parts, scheduling, and workflow efficiency

Qualifications

• 5+ years of diesel mechanic experience required
• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Experience with diagnostic software and tools
• ASE certifications or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
