MIG Welder – 1st Shift

Crystal Lake, IL
Pay Rate: $23.34/hour
Schedule/Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Evaluation Hire

Summary

Join a global manufacturer assembling and distributing forklifts used around the world. This is a true welding position on first shift, ideal for welders who value quality workmanship and long-term stability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ordinary MIG welding for mechanical strength in all positions
  • Operate welding robots as needed
  • Inspect robotic welds for quality and proper location
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Qualifications

  • MIG welding experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
  • Experience using ARC, MIG, gas welding, torch cutting, grinding, and slag removal
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Hard-working, dependable, and quality-focused
