Inside Sales Representative – Job Description

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for engaging customers, identifying their needs, and recommending appropriate window and door solutions. This role focuses on generating sales through inbound and outbound communication, supporting the sales process, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from initial inquiry through order completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound inquiries via phone, email, and online channels in a timely and professional manner
  • Qualify leads by identifying customer needs, project scope, timeline, and budget
  • Provide product recommendations, pricing information, and customized solutions based on customer requirements
  • Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and sales documentation
  • Follow up with prospective customers to close sales and maintain engagement
  • Coordinate with field sales, scheduling teams, and operations to ensure accurate order processing and project flow
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM systems
  • Meet or exceed individual sales goals and performance metrics
  • Stay knowledgeable about product offerings, features, and industry trends
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and objections effectively
  • Support promotions and marketing campaigns to drive sales opportunities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or sales training preferred
  • Previous inside sales, customer service, or retail sales experience preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to learn technical product knowledge and explain it clearly to customers
  • Experience with CRM systems and basic computer proficiency
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
