MIG Welder

What You'll Do
As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating steel components that are incorporated into precast concrete products.
Responsibilities include:
Perform MIG welding on reinforcing steel, structural steel, and embedded metal components
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications
Fabricate and assemble rebar cages and steel forms according to production requirements
Measure, cut, fit, and position steel materials using hand and power tools
Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with company standards
Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
Assist with material handling and movement of fabricated components
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
Work closely with production and quality teams to meet manufacturing schedules
Qualifications Required
Previous MIG welding experience
Ability to read a tape measure accurately
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
ExperiencePreferred
Experience in precast concrete, structural steel, rebar fabrication, or heavy manufacturing
Welding certifications are a plus
Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, or other industrial equipment
Experience with fabrication tools such as grinders, torches, saws, and drills
Ability to perform basic layout and fit-up work
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch throughout the workday
Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more with assistance
Work in an indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment
Tolerate exposure to dust, noise, heat, and varying weather conditions
Perform repetitive welding and fabrication tasks
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection
