Job Title: Assembler
City and State: Marengo, IL
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Schedule/Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Day Shift)
Employment Type: Evaluation Hire (Temp‑to‑Hire)
Summary
Our client is seeking Assemblers to help assemble and build forklift engines that are distributed worldwide. This is a fast‑paced, team‑based assembly line role focused on quality, safety, and efficiency. This position offers an evaluation‑to‑hire opportunity with a strong pay increase once hired in.
Responsibilities
- Assemble forklift engines on an assembly line following prescribed processes
- Perform quality checks on completed work and make final repairs as needed
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Move materials as required to support production flow
- Follow all safety guidelines and production standards
Qualifications
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and work instructions
- Team‑oriented with a positive attitude
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast‑paced environment
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
- Willing and able to perform the essential functions of the job
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work mandatory overtime as required
