Maintenance Mechanic Trainee/ Equipment Operator

Salary: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

We are seeking a motivated individual interested in becoming a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn the trade from the ground up while gaining hands-on experience in plant operations and equipment maintenance.

The selected candidate will initially learn to operate both production lines at both plants, gaining a strong understanding of our equipment and processes. While learning operations, the employee will also begin developing maintenance and troubleshooting skills under the guidance of experienced maintenance staff.

Over time, this individual will transition into a full Maintenance Mechanic role. Our maintenance mechanics remain hands-on with operations and assist in various plant duties as needed throughout their career.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate production equipment across multiple lines and plant locations
• Assist with basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Follow training instructions from experienced maintenance staff
• Maintain safe work practices and follow company procedures
• Support plant operations and equipment setup as needed
• Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams

Qualifications

• Strong motivation to learn and grow into a Maintenance Mechanic role
• Ability to follow directions and training instructions
• Excellent attendance and reliability
• Prior forklift experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude or maintenance experience is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
