Express Employment Professionals is seeking a motivated, professional, and community-focused Voter Services & Outreach Social Media Deputy Clerk to join a local government office in Ocala, FL. This unique position combines traditional voter services responsibilities with public outreach, social media management, and community engagement initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Voter Services Responsibilities

  • Process voter registrations and update voter records accurately

  • Perform data entry within the Florida Voter Registration System (FVRS) (training provided)

  • Assist voters in person and over the phone regarding voter registration, vote-by-mail requests, and election information

  • Answer incoming calls, transfer calls, and take messages professionally

  • Review and interpret applications, forms, and voter documentation

  • Respond to public inquiries clearly, accurately, and professionally

  • Maintain organization while handling multiple projects and deadlines

  • Communicate concerns or issues effectively with supervisors

  • Support team goals and assist coworkers as needed

  • Remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Outreach & Communications Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the Supervisor of Elections website

  • Manage social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram

  • Create engaging content using Canva and other design tools

  • Develop and schedule social media posts and public awareness campaigns

  • Coordinate and participate in community outreach events and promotional activities

  • Build partnerships with local organizations, schools, businesses, and community groups

  • Assist with public relations efforts to increase voter education and awareness

  • Represent the office professionally at community events and presentations

  • Support marketing and communication initiatives related to elections and voter engagement

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Must be an active registered voter in Marion County, FL

  • Ability to pass a statewide background check and drug screening

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and database systems

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Experience with social media management and content creation preferred

  • Familiarity with Canva, website updates, and digital marketing tools preferred

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

  • Must be dependable and able to report to work as scheduled

  • Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekend hours with little notice when needed
