Cleaning Technician

Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking hardworking and dependable Cleaning Technicians to assist with post-construction, commercial, and residential cleaning projects. This temporary position involves preparing newly built or renovated properties for occupancy as well as maintaining cleanliness in active commercial and residential spaces. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform post-construction cleanup, including removal of dust, debris, and construction materials
• Clean interior areas such as floors, walls, windows, fixtures, and surfaces
• Conduct commercial and residential cleaning tasks (offices, homes, common areas)
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and sanitize spaces to meet quality standards
• Clean windows, baseboards, ceilings, and high-touch areas
• Properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines
• Remove trash and dispose of waste safely
• Ensure all assigned areas meet company and client expectations
• Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred (especially post-construction)
• Can work weekends
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, bending, standing)
• Ability to lift up to [30–50 lbs / specify as needed]
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• Flexibility to work varying shifts or project-based schedules

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor job sites
• Exposure to dust, construction debris, and cleaning chemicals
• Physically active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive tasks
