Job Description: Quality InspectorPosition SummaryThe Quality Inspector assigned to the metrology lab is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance through precise measurement, inspection, and documentation processes. This role supports manufacturing and engineering teams by performing dimensional analysis and operating advanced inspection equipment.
ResponsibilitiesInspection & Measurement• Perform dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and other lab instruments.• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect complex components and generate accurate measurement data.• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure conformance.• Maintain calibration awareness and proper handling of all measurement equipment.Quality Documentation & Reporting• Create, document, and maintain Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for defective or out-of-spec materials/products.• Accurately record inspection results and maintain traceable quality records.Lab & Equipment Management• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the quality lab.• Ensure proper storage and handling of parts and inspection tools.
