Express Employment in Laguna Hills is looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing company servicing a variety of markets, including Aerospace, Medical, Defense, Imaging, and general R&D located in San Clemente. 

This is A Direct Hire position with benefits.

Pay is $25/$35/hr. DOE

Regular Shift: M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; occasional overtime and weekends  

 

Job Duties

• Plumbing tasks such as addressing leaks and drain problems, assessing water loops, and maintaining water refrigeration
• Building electrical tasks such as installing plug outlets, planning and troubleshooting electrical circuits through panels and sub-panels, and maintaining building lighting
• Perform equipment maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting
• Understanding and maintaining air conditioning systems, clean room air handling systems, vacuum pumps
• Replace belts, pulleys, motors, and pumps
• Disassemble, clean, lubricate and prepare parts for reassembly
• Coordinate and supervise outside contractor services (plumbers, electricians, and air conditioning technicians)
• Execute Preventative Maintenance tasks on-time and with quality
• Advocate and driver of an ISO9001 based Quality Management System, including participation in continuous improvement ideas

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Exposure to chemicals, solvents, and oils
• Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Use of safety glasses and latex gloves required
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50lbs

Education, Credentials, and Qualifications

• US Person as defined by 22 CFR 120.15 (Citizen, Permanent Resident)
• Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance as mandated by government contracts
• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Technical certification or 2+ years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electronics, vacuum or related fields
• Ability to read blueprints and apply basic math skills
• Ability to drive a forklift, training provided as necessary
• Competent using power tools, electrical equipment, and test equipment (gauges and multi-meters)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Basic computer skills (email, documents, spreadsheets)
• Good communication skills with fluency in compositional and conversational English
• Strong attention to detail
