Press Operator

$25-28/Hour | Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 6 am to 4:30 pm | Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

 

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Press Operator for a leading manufacturer in the oilfield equipment industry. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals with manufacturing experience who thrive in a fast-paced production environment. The Press Operator plays a critical role in ensuring quality production, machine efficiency, and safe operation of stamping press equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain stamping press equipment to maximize production quality and efficiency.
• Set up and load press machines, including Go/No-Go gauges and pipe fitment requirements.
• Perform die removal, cleaning, inspection, and minor repairs when applicable.
• Monitor and adjust feed line operations, including feeder acceleration, velocity, and material length settings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot press and feed line issues independently.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks on assigned equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and machine shutdown protocols.
• Perform quality inspections using micrometers and other precision measuring tools.
• Read and respond to machine error codes, documenting corrective actions taken.
• Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and daily activity reports.
• Cross-train team members on machine operation as needed.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other production equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience operating stamping presses and automated feed lines preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with quality control inspections and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
