Express Employment Professionals is recruiting in the Gerry, NY area for a CNC Operator.
The job duties required:
Sets up and operates CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & COMPETENCIES (include the following; however, other duties may apply.)
Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales.
Strong understanding in blue print reading/ geometric tolerance interpretation.
Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines.
Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
Reads and interprets blueprints
Properly and safely loads and unloads castings and raw materials in CNC machinery
Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
Understands, interprets and edits FANUC G-code programming
Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling
Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets
Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures
Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two years related experience and /or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
High school diploma or GED required
Hours are M-F 7am-3pm. Pay rate is based on experience.
