Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic Durham Region commercial and residential maintenance client. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise in construction plumbing, blueprint reading, and mechanical systems will ensure the delivery of high-quality work that meets safety standards and client specifications. Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and drainage in new construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs
• Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other construction tools safely and efficiently
• Perform heavy lifting tasks and use carpentry skills for framing or supporting plumbing components as needed
• Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to coordinate work schedules on construction sites
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards

Requirements

• Valid 306A plumber license with proven field experience
• Extensive construction site experience with a focus on plumbing installation and repair
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, HVAC systems knowledge is a plus
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding techniques, and schematics interpretation
• Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems, pipe fitting, remodeling, and maintenance tasks
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as required
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting problems
• Valid G driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred for site travel or material transport
