Position Summary

We are seeking a customer-focused and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our client's team. This position plays a key role in supporting customers, generating sales, and building long-term relationships while ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to assist customers with product selection, pricing, and technical information. Occasional warehouse support will be required to help fulfill customer orders and maintain smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for walk-in customers, contractors, and phone inquiries.
  • Assist customers in selecting the appropriate pumps, parts, and related products for their applications.
  • Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and follow up on open opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service and product knowledge.
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities and recommend additional products or solutions.
  • Respond to customer questions regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and product specifications.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source products and provide timely updates to customers.
  • Resolve customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Support outside sales efforts by providing quotes, order updates, and account support.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales documentation.

Operational Support

  • Assist with receiving and stocking inventory as needed.
  • Pull and stage customer orders for pickup or delivery.
  • Verify order accuracy and help ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Participate in inventory counts and maintain organized stock areas.
  • Support warehouse operations during busy periods or when additional assistance is needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, or industrial distribution preferred.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and order entry systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

This position is primarily customer-facing and office-based, with regular interaction with contractors, businesses, and retail customers. While the focus is on sales and customer support, team members may occasionally assist with warehouse and order fulfillment activities to ensure excellent service and operational efficiency.
