Position: Controls Testing Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented technician to perform electrical testing, quality inspections, and troubleshooting on industrial equipment in a manufacturing setting. This role supports production quality by verifying functionality, interpreting technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Test and verify industrial electrical equipment (24VDC–480VAC) to ensure proper function and safety compliance
• Use electrical testing tools (multimeters, insulation testers, high-potential voltage testers, etc.)
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
• Perform quality control inspections, document results, and identify non-conformances
• Support troubleshooting of electrical, PLC, VFD, and mechanical/pumping systems (as needed)
• Travel between facilities for quality checks, audits, and training support
• Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures, safety rules, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 0–2 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, VFDs, or control systems preferred
• 0–2 years of quality control or manufacturing inspection experience preferred
• Ability to use hand tools and electrical test equipment
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed
• Must be able to meet physical demands of a manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working at heights with PPE

Work Environment

• Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, temperature variations, and industrial equipment
• Requires strict adherence to safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment
