Position Summary

We seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for operating forklifts to move, stack, load, unload, and organize pallets and materials throughout the facility and yard. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts to move pallets, lumber, and other materials.
Load and unload trucks in an efficient and safe manner.
Stack, organize, and transport pallets throughout the yard and warehouse.
Inspect forklifts daily and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
Valid forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification).
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
Must be able to work in outdoor conditions and tolerate extreme heat, humidity, cold, rain, and other weather conditions.
Must be able to perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.

Work Environment

Outdoor pallet recycling yard and warehouse environment.
Exposure to dust, noise, moving equipment, and changing weather conditions.
Safety equipment must be worn as required.
