Construction Labourer

Our client, a well-established and reputable construction company in Ottawa's South End, is seeking two (2) highly motivated and dependable Construction Labourers to join their team on a full-time basis. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare site surfaces using rake, shovel, and level
• Verify stone measurements for accuracy and consistency
• Install drainage tile systems
• Excavate and remove debris as needed
• Transport debris to designated areas using wheelbarrows
• Maintain a clean and organized site, including: storing tools and equipment, cleaning and maintaining company vehicles and ensuring site safety at all times
• Willingness to learn new skills and grow with the company
• Perform additional tasks as assigned

Required skills and qualifications:

• Valid G driver's license and reliable vehicle for commuting to work sites (some locations not accessible by public transit)
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Previous labor experience in construction, landscaping, or related fields is an asset
• Experience working in various weather conditions
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and take direction
• Must have steel-toed work boots (above ankle)
• Ability to read a measuring tape

Hourly Pay Rate: Starts at $22.00 per hour, room for growth based on performance and skills

Work Hours: Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 5:00pm – Overtime after 44 hours per week
