Accounts Payable Associate

Salary: $24.00/hr +

This is an Accounting Associate opportunity with a manufacturing company in South Indianapolis, IN. This role supports the purchasing cycle and daily accounting operations in a fast-paced environment.

As an Accounting Associate, you will handle accounts payable, analyze manufacturing costs, and ensure transactions are processed accurately in accordance with GAAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices (PO and non-PO)
• Prepare weekly check runs and cash disbursements
• Work with purchasing on POs, pack slips, and documentation
• Process travel and expense reports and reconcile receipts
• Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations
• Analyze costs and review variances with the Accounting Manager
• Extract and analyze ERP data using Excel
• Support ad hoc reporting and daily accounting activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Associate degree with relevant coursework
• 3+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and cost accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills (including formulas and data analysis)
• ERP system experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
