General Maintenance

Location: Paterson, NJ
Reports To: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Schedule: M- F 7am - 3:30pm

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day facility repairs and maintenance, ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and contribute to a well-maintained, efficient workplace.

Qualifications & Accountability

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–2 years of experience in facility maintenance
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and general construction skills

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform PVC pipe fitting, assembly, installation, and maintenance in accordance with production and quality standards.
• Carry out copper pipe fitting and assembly, ensuring accurate measurements, secure connections, and proper system functionality.
• Assemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and machinery as needed.
• Support general machine maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Assist with construction-related tasks within the facility, including installation, modification, and maintenance projects.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions when required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company safety procedures.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to meet operational goals and project deadlines.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all assemblies and repairs meet company standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience with PVC fitting and assembly.
• Extensive experience with copper pipe fitting and assembly.
• General experience in machine assembly and repair.
• General experience in construction or industrial maintenance.
• Additional manufacturing, mechanical, welding, fabrication, plumbing, or maintenance experience is considered an asset.
