Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This position manages financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and accounting staff while supporting the organization's financial goals and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management: Oversee daily accounting activities and financial transactions.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Budget Oversight: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Account Reconciliation: Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of general ledger accounts.

Compliance: Maintain compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership: Supervise and support accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.

Audit Support: Coordinate internal and external audits and provide requested documentation.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger functions.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting software systems.

Leadership Skills: Ability to supervise, motivate, and develop team members.

Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and financial analysis abilities.

Organization: Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy in financial records and reporting.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities preferred.
