Job Title: Order Picker
Location: New Bern, NC
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Overview
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient picking, packing, and shipping of products. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, materials handling, and safety protocols. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for utilizing various equipment and systems to fulfill orders accurately while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Shift: Monday to Friday, some Saturdays (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM) 10-12 hour shifts
Location: New Bern, NC
Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick orders using RF scanners to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Load and unload products from trucks and pallets using forklifts, pallet jacks, or clamp trucks.
- Operate equipment safely in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Perform quality checks on picked orders to ensure they meet company standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse management to optimize order picking processes.
- Maintain an organized work area, ensuring all materials are stored properly.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities as needed.
- Engage in heavy lifting and materials handling as required by the job.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with a focus on order picking and distribution.
- Experience operating order pickers preferred (Must be comfortable working in heights as the machine will take you up to 25 feet in the air).
- Must be able to meet background screening and drug testing requirements.
- Walking through the warehouse is required, must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time in a NON-CLIMATE CONTROLLED facility.
- Steel toe shoes required.
