Salary: $20-35/hr

We are currently looking for a Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Somerset, NJ. A well-established sheet metal fabricator is looking for experienced, dedicated, and hard working individuals who want to continue their career while earning a great paycheck.

 

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • 6:00am - 2:30pm (multiple shifts available)

  • $20-30/hr. (Based on experience)

 

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • Preventive maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment: press brakes, spot welders, lasers, NC turret presses, and production machines following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications;
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment as needed.
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components
  • Disassemble machinery and equipment when there is a problem
  • Test malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed
  • Detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests
  • Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery

 

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Previous experience in metal shop production a PLUS
  • Technical understanding required.
  • Knowledge of equipment, ability to read blueprints and technical schematics.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to solve a problem
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs., occasionally up to 50 pounds and more
  • Dependable
  • Energetic and eager to learn
  • Experience in safety procedures including proper use of emergency stops and machine guards
  • Energetic and eager to learn.

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) a PLUS
  • Previous experience in metal shop production a PLUS
