Greenhouse Production Associate

Located in Belvidere, NJ

Salary: 18.00/hour

Greenhouse Production Associate

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (must be available to work until 4:30 PM as needed). Occasional Saturday work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plant and maintain heirloom herbs using organic growing practices.
• Assist with planting, harvesting, washing, storing, and packaging produce.
• Sort, portion, label, and prepare produce for shipment.
• Inspect produce to ensure quality standards are met.
• Support harvesting activities throughout greenhouse growing areas.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces.
• Apply pesticides to crops according to company procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.
• Ability to work in either light-duty or heavy-duty tasks as assigned.
• Must be able to safely navigate moving greenhouse tables and step over pipes ranging from knee to hip height.
• Ability to hear instructions in a noisy greenhouse environment.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to seasonal temperatures, including heat, humidity, and cold weather.
• Exposure to loud noise, dust, allergens, and agricultural chemicals.
• Work is performed primarily in greenhouse and growing environments.

Qualifications

• Basic English communication skills required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends.
