General Labor- Day

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and safety-focused General Labor associate to join our team. This role is responsible for sorting and processing recyclable materials and scrap metals, ensuring proper separation of high-grade metals and removal of non-conforming materials. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an industrial outdoor environment, operating mobile equipment, and performing physical labor throughout the workday.
This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient recycling operations by processing scrap metals, operating equipment, and supporting overall yard maintenance and production activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and separate recyclable materials and scrap metals according to quality standards
- Identify and remove non-conforming materials from processing streams
- Process scrap metals using various tools and equipment
- Operate and maintain mobile equipment, including forklifts, skid steers, street sweepers, and water trucks
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the yard
- Utilize hand tools and equipment such as torches, banders, and chop saws to process materials
- Inspect equipment and perform basic maintenance as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in recycling, manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or industrial environments preferred
- Forklift and mobile equipment experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail when identifying and sorting materials
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, standing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
