Associate Production Planner

Salary: $80K-$90K

The Associate Production Planner supports production planning and scheduling activities to ensure materials, resources and manufacturing orders are aligned with customer demand and production objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, inventory levels and production capacity
  • Monitor work orders and progress
  • Review material shortages and collaborate with stakeholders to minimize production disruptions
  • Update and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routing information and planning parameters, as required
  • Track work order status, including schedule attainment, production progress, material consumption, output accuracy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production, material and scheduling issues
  • Generate and maintain production, inventory and planning reports to support operational decision making
  • Maintain strict adherence to company procedures, planning processes, and operational standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of manufacturing and program needs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
  • 0-2 years experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or related fields
  • Intern or Co-op experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas to analyze production, inventory and operational data to support planning and decision-making
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central
  • Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Extended periods of sitting, standing and work at a computer
  • Regular interaction with manufacturing, warehouse, and production areas
  • Exposure to production activity, controlled documents, and regulated processes
  • Use of PPE may be required while on production floor

Location
