DISPATCHER - $30/HR

 

POSITION SUMMARY
Receive service requests from customers through phone/email and dispatch appropriate level technician to handle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to)
• Receive and enter calls into the FileMaker database.
• Communicate with customers to schedule and report technician ETAs.
• Determine appropriate technician for a call based on skill level, location/traffic, technician availability, parts availability, etc.
• Dispatch calls to technicians and confirm they have headed for call within appropriate time.
• Set-up calls in advance for next day and email to technicians
• Review and confirm receipt of all documentation and synced workorder related to service calls (checkout emails, refrigerant forms, etc.) from technician, follow up when needed.
• Confirm daily timesheets are received and alert manager of missing timesheets each day.
• Once all technicians are accounted for email manager status of who is working where.
• Keep FileMaker updated throughout the day with technician updates, etc.
• Research parts and pricing and order parts when needed.
• Issue purchase orders for parts and update pricing on PO form in FileMaker.
• Transfer calls daily and confirm with answering service correct on-call schedule.
• Keep track of follow-ups that need to be run when parts are received. Combine new calls with follow up calls whenever possible.
• Keep track of how long technicians have been on-site and escalate to supervisor or manager when taking longer than expected.
• Assist with GPS systems on company vehicles as needed.
• Track and coordinate vehicle maintenance and vehicle repairs. Update GPS with when oil changes have been completed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• Motivated, reliable, self-starter with the ability to work independently or on a team
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
