Procurement Specialist (4–6 Month Temp)

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a highly experienced Procurement Specialist for a 4–6 month temporary assignment supporting a public sector organization.

 

This role requires a strong background in end-to-end solicitation management, contract administration, and public procurement compliance, with a focus on Florida procurement standards.

 

This is a hands-on role for an experienced procurement professional who can step in quickly with minimal training and independently manage complex procurement activities.

Must-Have Requirements

• Proven ability to manage the full solicitation process end-to-end

• Strong experience in contract review, negotiation, and drafting

• Extensive public sector procurement experience (private sector only experience will not be considered)

• Strong working knowledge of Florida procurement laws and procedures

• Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding or training in public procurement processes

Contract Details

• Duration: 4–6 month temporary assignment

• Assignment length dependent on organizational needs and workload

Schedule & Work Arrangement

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Hybrid / In-office option also available depending on candidate preference and fit

• Must reside in Florida (FL residency required)

• Candidates should be within commuting distance if hybrid or in-office

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have strong public sector procurement experience with the ability to immediately step into solicitation and contract responsibilities. They should have a deep understanding of Florida procurement regulations, along with hands-on experience preparing RFPs, bid documents, and formal procurement correspondence.

This individual will be confident managing contract negotiations, resolving procurement issues related to pricing, delivery, warranties, and invoicing, and handling escalated purchasing concerns. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams are essential.
