Service Coordinator 

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a highly organized and experienced Customer Service & Dispatch Coordinator for a growing service-based organization within the pest control/home services industry. This role has a strong focus on dispatching, scheduling, customer communication, and service coordination, along with supporting light accounts receivable and inside sales functions.

 

This position is not a general customer service role — it requires someone with hands-on experience coordinating field service operations, scheduling technicians, and managing real-time dispatch needs in a service environment.

 

The coordinator will serve as a key communication hub between customers, field technicians, and office staff to ensure efficient daily operations and timely service delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Dispatch and schedule pest control technicians based on daily service needs and priorities
  • Manage and adjust technician routes throughout the day for efficiency and urgent requests
  • Communicate service windows, updates, and changes to customers and field staff
  • Handle inbound customer service inquiries related to scheduling, service updates, and follow-ups
  • Support accounts receivable tasks including payment processing and past due collections follow-up
  • Assist with converting inbound leads and following up on estimates to support inside sales efforts
  • Promote additional pest control and lawn care services to existing customers
  • Maintain accurate records, scheduling data, and service documentation in company systems
  • Support administrative tasks and reporting as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of dispatching or service coordination experience required
  • Prior experience in pest control, lawn care, HVAC, plumbing, or similar field service industry strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage technician scheduling and route coordination
  • Strong communication skills with both customers and field technicians
  • Experience with customer service in a service operations environment (not call center-only roles)
  • Basic accounts receivable or collections exposure preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, changing schedules throughout the day
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service scheduling software (FieldRoutes or similar a plus)

Schedule & Compensation

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • $22.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has direct experience supporting field service operations, particularly in pest control or a similar industry. They understand the urgency and coordination required to dispatch technicians efficiently, manage daily schedule changes, and ensure a smooth customer experience from booking through service completion. They are proactive, organized, and able to balance customer service with operational demands.
