Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious CDL Class A driver to operate large commercial vehicles and ensure the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong driving skills, a clean record, longevity and the ability to work independently while following all DOT and company regulations 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and safely drive assigned Class A tractor-trailer vehicles on long-haul and local routes.

• Load, secure, and unload cargo in compliance with DOT regulations.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including brakes, lights, tires, fluids, and safety equipment.

• Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery records, ensuring compliance with federal and state hours-of-service rules.

• Follow assigned routes and schedules, communicating with dispatch for route changes or delays.

• Inspect and report any vehicle maintenance or safety issues to the maintenance team.

• Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition at all times.

• Adhere to all traffic laws, weather/road conditions, and company safety protocols.

• Assist in mapping and optimizing delivery routes for efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record; no moving violations.

• 1 year of proven experience operating tractor-trailers; experience with OTR (Over-the-Road) driving preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs. and work in extreme temperatures and varied terrain.

• Skilled in operating large vehicles, electric lifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.

• Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.

• Must pass background check, drug test, and pre-employment screenings.

Physical & Environmental Demands

• Ability to sit/stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, and operate at elevated heights.

• Exposure to weather extremes and varying road conditions.
