Sales Specialist

Salary: Base salary of $60,000

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Sales Specialist on behalf of our client, a well-established, locally owned company specializing in the sales, service, and repair of trailers, lawn care equipment, tools, and related products in Halifax, NS.

This is a relationship-driven sales role where you’ll play a key part in supporting customers, growing business relationships, and driving sales within a growing company. You’ll work closely with contractors, repeat customers, manufacturers, and internal team members while developing strong product knowledge across specialized equipment and trailer product lines.

What you’ll be doing:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and manufacturers
• Assist customers with trailer, equipment, and product sales while providing a high level of customer service
• Develop strong product knowledge across trailers, lawn care equipment, tools, and related products
• Prepare quotes, invoices, financing paperwork, and other sales documentation accurately and efficiently
• Process customer payments and assist with coordinating financing when required
• Prospect for new business opportunities and follow up with existing customers and historical accounts
• Coordinate with customers throughout the sales and delivery process to help ensure a smooth customer experience
• Assist with preparing trailers and equipment for customer pickup and delivery
• Help maintain an organized yard and assist with moving trailers and equipment as needed
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person in a professional and solutions-focused manner
• Work collaboratively within a small team environment while contributing to the continued growth of the business

 

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in sales, account management, customer service, or a related customer-facing role
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working toward sales goals
• Comfortable working in both an office and outdoor yard environment
• Mechanically inclined or interested in learning about trailers, equipment, and related products
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
• Comfortable handling quotes, invoicing, financing coordination, and customer documentation
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a small business environment
• Experience in industries such as trailers, automotive, powersports, equipment rental, construction supply, landscaping equipment, agriculture, or similar industries is considered an asset
• Flexible and customer-focused, including occasional after-hours availability to support customers when needed

• Base salary of $60,000 per year, plus commission and bonus opportunities
