CNC Machinist

Located in Billerica, MA

Salary: $23 to $25 per hour

Our client is a leading manufacturer of high performance, precision plastic components for military, medical and similar applications. They are looking for reliable machinist to help manufacture and inspect precision plastic components. 

Job Summary

Operate machining and cutting equipment in safe, repeatable fashion that meets quality requirements. Use saws, drill presses, milling machines, lathes and other machines to process materials. Perform light assembly and part marking work as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate machining and cutting equipment following job instructions, delivery date, and quality requirements
• Accurately complete in process inspection and job detail paperwork
• Contribute to continuous improvement via Lean Manufacturing techniques
• Maintain tool and fixture supplies
• Perform and log relevant and routine machine maintenance
• Follow all company policies and procedures, such as those documented under AS9100 guidelines and the company handbook
• Understand and observe all safety requirements related to manufacturing

Qualifications & Experience

• Two years minimum relevant machinist experience
• Proficient written and verbal English Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read blue prints and schematics
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
• High school graduate, trade school experience preferred
