Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Seasonal Facilities Maintenance Technician for a well-established and respected local organization. This role supports multiple facility sites and outdoor areas, helping ensure buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining facilities, and can work independently across a variety of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on buildings (carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical/mechanical work)
• Complete work orders and maintenance tasks in a timely manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of facility grounds and surrounding areas
• Assist with mowing, weed-eating, and general landscaping duties
• Inspect and maintain safety equipment, including fire protection systems
• Support gate maintenance, signage upkeep, and property security needs as required
• Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures
• Identify issues and take initiative to resolve problems efficiently

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in general facility maintenance or related trades preferred
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems
• Comfortable performing outdoor work and operating landscaping equipment
• Valid California driver’s license required
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and standing
• Ability to climb ladders and work in a variety of indoor/outdoor environments
• Exposure to dust, noise, moving equipment, and outdoor conditions
• May require use of personal protective equipment, including respirators
• Must adhere to all safety standards and maintain regular attendance
