Express Employment Professionals is actively recruiting an experienced Maintenance Technician on behalf of a well-established client in the Midland, TX area. This full-time opportunity offers competitive pay based on experience with a reputable company. The ideal candidate brings hands-on maintenance experience, a valid EPA certification, and a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.

•        Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

•        Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement timely, effective repairs

•        Handle refrigerant management in full compliance with EPA Section 608 regulations

•        Conduct routine facility inspections and identify potential maintenance issues

•        Respond promptly to service requests and emergency maintenance situations

•        Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment service records

•        Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

•        Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and facility management as needed

•        Support and participate in facility improvement and upgrade projects

•        Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and regulatory requirements

•        Valid EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal or Type I/II)  ★ REQUIRED

•        Minimum 2–3 years of experience in building, facility, or industrial maintenance

•        Proficient in HVAC systems including refrigeration, heating, and ventilation

•        Working knowledge of electrical systems, basic plumbing, and mechanical equipment

•        Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints

•        Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

•        Able to work independently with minimal supervision

•        Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; able to climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods

•        Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

•        High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training a plus

•        HVAC/R journeyman license or equivalent trade certification

•        Experience with commercial or industrial facility maintenance

•        Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) or CMMS software

•        OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

•        Pay: $25.00 – $30.00/HR depending on experience

•        Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

•        Full-time hours with no weekend requirement
